Data Updater with new features
The Data Updater Module 2.0 offers an extension to Data Updater 1.0 (Data Updater), which is included in the c-entron standard license. The ribbon menu provides access to the updater functions. The add-on module offers two specific update options:
Invoice Data Update
Address Master Update
These two functions allow you to quickly and efficiently make bulk changes to specific data based on defined criteria or through manual selection.
Requirements
Required permissions
Users of the "Data Updater 2.0" module must have the appropriate access rights to edit document data and address master data. They must also be authorized to make changes to payment terms, processors, and classifications.
Invoice Data Update
The document data update allows you to adjust the IDM/ADM as well as the Standard payment terms in existing documents.
How it works
Adjust IDM/ADM and payment terms: The user can make a change to the IDM/ADM (in-house or field staff) or the standard payment terms. In doing so, the old IDM/ADM value or the old payment terms are replaced with a new value.
Automatic search: The system automatically performs a search, taking into account the specified filters (3). These filters help you find the specific documents that need to be modified.
Manual selection of documents: As an alternative to the automatic search, documents can be selected manually (4) and then modified according to the specified logic.
Example of use:
If the IDM or ADM needs to be updated in a document, the user selects the relevant documents or has the system filter them automatically. The data is then updated with the new IDM/ADM value, which is applied to all found or selected documents.
Address Master Update
The address master update allows you to make bulk changes to Editors (Authors 1–6), the Customer payment terms as well as the Customer Classification.
How it works
Customize the processor, payment terms, and classification: In the address master update, users can replace the old processor data (Processors 1–6), the customer payment terms, or the customer classification with new data. The old processor is replaced by the newly selected processor.
Automatic search: The system performs an automatic customer search using defined filters (3) to find the relevant addresses.
Manual selection of customers: As with the document data update, customers can also be selected manually here (4) if a specific selection is preferred.
Example of use:
If an agent moves to a different department within the organization, you can transfer all address master data assigned to that agent to the new agent with just a few clicks. These changes can be made automatically or manually.
Summary of Features
Automatic and manual search: For both document data updates and address master updates, you can either use filters to automatically search for the desired records or select them manually.
Logic for bulk changes: Old values are replaced with new ones based on the selected criteria to enable fast and efficient data maintenance.
