Data Updater with new features
(available from release v2.0.2409.x)
The Data Updater Module 2.0 (license required) offers an extension of Data Updater 1.0 (Data Updater), which is included in the c-entron standard license. The menu bar (ribbon) provides access to the updater functions. The add-on module offers two specific update options:
Document data update
Address master update
These two functions enable you to quickly and efficiently make bulk changes to specific data based on defined criteria or manual selection.
Requirements
Licenses
To use the new features of Data Updater V2, you must "Module Data Updater" license required.
Note: The new update functions cannot be executed without the "Module Data Updater" license.
Required rights
Users who use the "Data Updater V2" module require the appropriate access rights to edit document data and address master data. They must also be authorized to make changes to payment terms, processors, and classifications.
Document data update
The document data update allows you to adjust the IDM/ADM as well as the Standard payment terms in existing documents.
Functionality
Adjust IDM/ADM and payment terms: The user can make a change to the IDM/ADM (office or field staff) or the standard payment terms. The old IDM/ADM value or payment terms are replaced with a new value.
Automatic search: The system automatically performs a search, taking into account the specified filters (3). These filters help to find the specific documents that need to be changed.
Manual selection of documents: As an alternative to the automatic search, documents can be selected manually (4) and then modified according to the specified logic.
Application example:
If the IDM or ADM needs to be replaced in a document, the user selects the relevant documents or has them filtered automatically by the system. The data is then adjusted using the new IDM/ADM value, which is applied to all documents found or selected.
Address master update
The address master update enables bulk changes to Processors (Editors 1-6), who Customer payment terms as well as the Customer classification.
Functionality
Adjust processor, payment terms, and classification: In the address master update, users can replace the old processor data (processor 1-6), customer payment terms, or customer classification with new data. The old processor is replaced by the newly selected processor.
Automatic search: The system performs an automatic customer search using defined filters (3) to find the addresses concerned.
Manual selection of customers: As in the document data update, customers can also be selected manually (4) if a specific selection is preferred.
Application example:
If an agent changes within the organization, you can transfer all address master data assigned to that agent to the new agent with just a few clicks. The changes can be made automatically or manually.
Summary of functions
Automatic and manual search: Both when updating document data and when updating address master data, you have the option of automatically searching for the desired data records using filters or selecting them manually.
Logic for mass changes: Old values are replaced with new values based on the selected criteria to enable fast and efficient data maintenance.
