EK - Calculations and updates based on goods receipt (article master and associated order)

Early booking

For early booking (the "Late booking" checkbox is not selected in the goods receipt—goods are posted to the warehouse when the goods receipt is created—changes to the purchase price in the goods receipt calculation only affect the accounting export, but are no longer transferred to the order or the article master)

  • Fixed EK

    • The purchase price in the article master is not changed by goods receipts

    • However, the purchase price in the corresponding order is replaced with the price from the goods receipt

  • Mixed EK

    • The cost price in the article master is now recalculated based on the existing stock quantity + the number of items from the goods receipt with their price

    • After the above update in the article master, the purchase price in the corresponding order is replaced with the purchase price from the article master

  • Last EK

    • Regardless of how much stock is available, the purchase price in the article master is replaced with the price from the goods receipt

    • The purchase order in the corresponding order is replaced with the price from the goods receipt

Late booking

For late bookings (check mark for "Late booking" is set in Goods Receipt - Goods are only posted to the warehouse when the supplier invoice/GR calculation is created - the GR calculation must be completed for this)

  • Fixed EK

    • The purchase price in the article master is not changed by supplier invoice/incoming goods calculation

    • However, the purchase price in the corresponding order is replaced with the price from the supplier invoice/incoming goods calculation

  • Mixed EK

    • The cost price in the article master is now recalculated based on the existing stock quantity + the number of items from the supplier invoice/incoming goods calculation with their price

    • After the above update in the article master, the purchase price in the corresponding order is replaced with the purchase price from the article master

  • Last EK

    • Regardless of how much stock is available, the purchase price in the article master is replaced with the price from the supplier invoice/incoming goods calculation

    • The purchase price in the corresponding order is replaced with the price from the supplier invoice/inbound delivery calculation

Note on "Last EK" and "Fixed EK"

Note: "Last cost" and "Fixed cost" make it virtually impossible to evaluate the actual inventory value if there is still stock available before the goods receipt is posted.
The stock value calculation determines the article master EK for the stock quantity in the warehouse.

Example:
ten items were purchased for 80 euros, and the last receipt (one item) was entered at 100 euros; the item master purchase price was changed to 100 euros.
The calculation for "Last purchase price" would then be (11 items x 100 euros) and not (10 x 80) + (1 x 100), as with mixed purchase prices.

"Automatic EK adjustment" setting

The "EK settings" in the administrative settings affect quotes or orders when a document that has not yet been fully processed is opened, edited, or further processed.
This also applies to further processing from the document overview and "right mouse button" > Further process in.

If this setting causes a change in the document (quote & order), this is logged.
